Tony Hanna

During his stay in Africa, Tony practiced boxing and occasionally ran on track for fun. When he moved to Lebanon in 2016, he participated at the ISF half-marathon and Beirut marathon races with no prior training, finishing them in a considerable timing as a first timer.

In 2017, he focused furthermore on long distance running subsequently improving his records at Saïda Marathon (2:58:15) and Beirut Marathon (2:41:51).

Personal best records continued to be broken in 2018. He finished Tripoli Half Marathon in 1:14:52 and was ranked 1st in his age category at Beirut Marathon (2:37:38).

Tony’s main objective is to break the national record on long distance running. He doesn’t miss a chance for training, even when it comes to a training camp in Kenya.

His other hobby is spending time with his family. Father of two, he spreads the love of the sport to his children and encourages them by running together once a week.
